Got a strange problem. Was searching for why my batteries got drained so quickly yesterday (TJ VRX) while i was cleaning the car (i had the radio/cd stacker on for half an hour tops, has to be on accessories for the the stacker to have power). and in that half hour, the battery got drained. But i was sure i had the key switched to acc. before then, but with nothing turned on.
But i discovered last nyt, that when the ignition's set to accessories, the park lights turn on (w/out turning em on normally). so the battery's leaking power to them some how. I also noticed that in my mum's KE verada, the "light's on" beeping alarm when you open the door, beeps when the lights are on when the ignition is set to "off" or "acc." regardless. But in the VRX, it only beeps when the ignition is set to "off", and doesn't beep when it's on "acc.".
has anyone had the same or similar problems and can shed any light onto wtf's happenin?

There will be a relay connected to your ignition and parker switch. A relay is a small device that switches a circuit on if another is activated)...that is, whenever the car is switched to the "ACC" or "ON" position, your park lights will switch on automatically, regardless of the position of your parkers switch - Volvos are set up like this from the factory, Magnas are not.
Did you buy the car second hand? If so, it's possible the previous owner had it wired like that for safety reasons?
The relay is probably somewhere near your ignition under the dash, find the relay and disconnect it - if unsure, have an auto electrician or someone do it for you.

Bought it new at the end of 2000. could've fuxored up some wiring when i installed the neons... i'll give it a look thanks! :)
:edit:
also the parkers don't FULLY go on, they seem to only get i tiny bit of current, that is, they're heaps dim when it's on acc, but they're pretty normal when switched on.

You have to make sure that you have hooked up your neons to a 12V +ive and a 0V ground, instead of to a floating ground, poor ground source, or another +ve source (which is less than battery voltage). Simple way to check is with a multimeter to ensure you are getting full battery voltage at the neon terminals.

yuh, the neon's are wired right. I've had them in for about half a year now, i'm thinking something came loose. Got the whole day to check it out tho. thanks for ur help everyone.
