I have a KE that when you use the power steering when turning, it shudders and vibrates badly every now and then. The KH i have doesnt do it but the KE does. Oil levels are fine as this usually causes this problem. Had it fixed under warranty years ago when fairly new. I think for memory they replaces a hydraulic hose. That fixed it but now its back.
Anyone got any ideas? Why would replacing a hose make a difference?
Thanks.

Very possible... I have had a few cases whereby a prototype high pressure pump hose has solved steering vibration issues.

I had the same problem in my Th Executive, it eventually got so bad that i just put it in the garage and got the RACV guy to come look at it. Turns out that the belt driving the power steering pump was frayed and slipping a lot. Does it make a squealing noise at all?, because once i had the belt replaced havent had a problem with it at all.

Thanks for the replies.
The steering is dead quiet but every now and then when you turn the wheel, you get a shuddering through the steering wheel. It doesnt make any other noise other than that.
The old man has got a brand new VY Commy and it does it badly. Can't complain compared to it but i guess everyone knows commys have power steering issues.
my power Steering pump makes a loud whiring sound
everything works ok but very Annoying the noise
loudest a 1k revs
whats the chances of getting it fixed through warrenty
still has 18 months to go

Hey Ben. If it is still under warranty then there is every chance they will do it.
Push them to do it if they dont want to do it. Its your right to get it fixed if its faulty.
