anyone know where exactly the solenoids are in a 2nd gen magna? Also are they hard to replace? Any help appreciated thanks.

overdrive for the tranny.

Inside the auto? the OD button just sends a signal to the electronics in the tranny if its like any other auto box. The shifter is also either electric or cable driven depending on how old skool the car is

well overdrive vanished on the car when it blew an alternator belt while back (its a 92 magna btw). Apparantly guy i know whos a RACV mechanic said its a solenoid.. which i doubt but throught i'd look into and try solve.

aparently there are 3 or 4 solinoids in there that select the gears (there activated by the atcu) so ive been told anyway, appatently they are built into the casing or something and you have to reco the box to replace em ( or so mitsu told me) i think a couple of mine aer sticking
