Have just brought a TH magna wagon, when it rains it getting large amounts of water in front passenger and rear passenger foot wells. I think I have traced the water leak to its running down the sills then collecting in the plastic foot step at the bottom of the door and followings the plugs holes through to the foot well. Anyone else thinking the same?

Or it could be coming in from the front of the windscreen under the plastic cowl? Have you done the garden hose test with running water?

Check the grommits up under the front inner guards, this is common

The leaf guards are not made to seal water so unless you are unlucky and found a rusty car

Thanks guys, I have checked those two possible leak spots as it seems the weak points, will carry on with the hose trick for abit longer. Cheers

Something I'll have to address....I thought I'd left the rear window open by accident and in sunny Coffs Harbour rain falls quite heavily.

Had same problem with 99 Verada Used a Good Black silicone along the gutters and problem Gone.
The reason i used black is because my car is dark blue.

I tried everything to find a huge leak in ALL the footwells. I pulled the leaf catcher (?) apart and cleaned it out, pulled both front wheels off to check the grommets, sealed everything in sight, and still had the leak. As a last resort I did what the guy with the 99 Verada did and put a good quality water resistant silicone along the "gutters", and to my relief, problem solved. It appears that the chrome/plastic strip above the doors in the older models (like mine 99) comes away from the body and the water leaks in down the centre posts and under the carpet. No wonder I couldn't find it. Anyway, problem solved, so I can put away the budgies until summer!!
