Have noticed that my rear parking sensors beep constantly in hot weather as soon as I select reverse even if there is nothing behind.
Are fine when the weather is below 30o
Anyone else have this problem and is there a fix?:roflwtf:

That happened before I had them replaced
but mine were stuffed from the get go
could see if they need to be recalibrated

Mine also beep constantly when they are hot / have been parked in full sun.
When they are cold they work fine.
I suppose you'd expect that considering yours and mine are twins (sequential numbers).
Mine is going in for 45,000k service soon so will get them looked at - will pass on any comments/fix.

Mine were playing up until I got the high pressure hose and blew out muck.

yeah dont wax or polish over them either
Just get VW to run into you and you get a clean new one
give it a blast first also check if they are flush with the bar some times they work themselves loose

My were constantly beeping regardless of the weather. Well dealers suggested it was normal, after a bit of insisting, they rang Mitsubishi, only to find out there was a recall or a hotline fix or something for faulty sensors early on, which my model number fell under. Got new ones ordered and on the way. Can get you a ref code for the recall when they are fitted if its a similar problem?

I like how your dealer tried to fob you off with "its all normal" until he discovered it is indeed not normal and that a recall was already established specifically for this.
Good luck for the refit anyway.

Thanks mate, Yeah, haven't had much luck with the local dealers, gone through a few already.
But thats another issue all together.

Been complaining about my reverse sensors - play up usually when over 30C - dealer said that need to bring in car when they play up. Seems when turn off car in neutral (auto) problem seems to go away.

Just noticing mine acting up too, like others, I think it's when it's been in the sun for a while.
Would this be covered under warranty?
If not, is it an expensive fix?

just get them realigned

Is that the problem?
I could be out in a completely empty car park with nothing around, and they's still go off.

Yes, it certainly sounds about right.
The sensor could be pointing at the ground etc, I have had the same issue before.

But if that was the case, wouldn't it be doing it all the time, not just sometimes when the weather heats up or the sun shines on the rear?

mine had to be realigned and were as good as gold once done
also wash em real good with just soapy water may be something over one
