Hi, My wife has a TJ Solara and the factory alarm has a habit of occasionally going off after you have locked the car. The problem does not seem to be any of the obvious things so I would be happy if I could just diable the factory alarm.

Does anyone know how I can just get rid of the useless factory alarm.

It is more than likely your bonnet switch or a door switch. You need to check their adjustment. Really cant be much more than that.

And the factory alarm isnt useless, its a good alarm with the chipkey, immobiliser etc
