My indicator squawks briefly as I indicate and sometimes the indicator doesn't function at all and the squawk persists until I turn it off.
Do you think a clean and lube would sort it out or do I need a new unit?
Thanks in advance

Yeah mine does that too on my KE Verada...
i have no idea why it does this, and only when i put the right indicator on...
it would be good to find out how to fix this issue.

Common issue.
Removing the switch, cleaning and scouring the contacts usually fixes it.
Otherwise people have also had success replacing the flasher.
Search should yield results.

Thanks Gas Hed.
I can honestly say that was the most painful and frustrating thing I've done in recent memory (a bit like my ex really). Not only is everything greasy but you have to align everything up before you snap on the cover. Tip : point the high beam rocker towards the indicator switch and make sure the indicator switch is on it's proper groove before securing the back. I just spend 4 hours getting it all to work properly. Good news is the squaawk is gone and the hi-beam flick works properly now.
Yeah mine does that too - it's kind of like a buzz right? The indicator always still works though
