View Full Version : Best place to mount tranny cooler

Hey everyone,

I got my self a tranny cooler for my auto gear box, just wondering where is the best place to mount it so it get enough air flow yet protected from damage. ....

Usually either side in front of the radiator, if you see a 1st or 2nd gen automatic you will know what im talking about. just have a look in front of the radiator

Mine is on the right hand side close to to top of the radiator, if you are looking at the front of the car head on.

I recently just did this. Do a search on transmission cooler install and my pictures will come up too.

Right in front of the radiator is the best place. Pics Below should give you an idea of where I mean...
