Having problems with my trip meter. I noticed this morning when i filled up that i pressed my trip meter and it reset. Done about 20 k's of driving before i noticed it was stuck on .9 km and wouldn't turn over, I gave the dash a small hit to see if that would help, it didn't. Needing some info on the following:
*Does a not working trip meter affect the odometre?
*How do I fix the trip meter/odometre?

Also an unrelated question. My fuel gauge doesn't work properly, was told it was the sender unit/fuel pump with is only accessable by removing the fuel tank is there any way around this?

Press the rest button again it might just be some gunk on the wheel.
If it repeats the problem the it could be a broken tooth on the wheel.
You can take it to a speedo repairer for them to fix. They could test the fuel gauge at the same time & at least determine if the problem is in the cluster.
I think the odo runs via the trip meter but not 100% sure.
