Does anyone know how to/if can dismantle dash from series 2 TJ Magna to alter lighting etc? Have tried since lighting's seemingly not as good as it used to be, or my eyes are adjusting away from it for some reason, and wonder if anyone else has done this and if they could offer any advice. Have the clear lens off and the internals out (i.e. have it out of main housing) but unsure where to go from there regarding removing needles etc. Help....???

are you just changing the globes in the cluster?

If only were that simple, looks like it runs with LED's on the board. Not too worried about soldering, can do that easily enough. Just don't wanna break anything while trying to get into it.

I try to replace the bulbs on my dash (same like yours) to and is verry "hard' to do it if you don't know what is there cos our dash dosen't have bulbs, it has small led's glued on electrical cluster. I found it easy to replace the cluster with a VRX one! Is more "sexy" :) white with red light.
You can add to some led (any colour) behind the dash but i don't know how is gonna look.

These are a pain in the fact that they are very hard to customise however also good in the fact that there are no globes to blow lol

I am not sure if you can get them, but you may be able to get other led's from somewhere like Jaycar and solder them back in place of the ones on the board already, this would be the only idea I would have

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping (since I work there and all, hehe). It's the getting in to the dash to look at them that's worrying me.

Biggest concern is removing the needles without breaking them. On older dashes, was a simple pull and off they came but these ones seem to be really well attached. Anyone know if there's a trick to removing them from the full electric dash's, like a latch or something that needs to be released from behind or something?

That kit is only for the PRE LED dash, so isn't going to help the OP much at all.....

Yeah, wish it was that simple. Shouldn't have too much trouble doing lighting but gettin in there is proving frustrating, lol.
