Just wondering if a 3.5L alternator will fit on a 6G72 3L? (Or if an older 3.0L alt would fit?)

Ok, well im looking to buy one of these High Output alts on ebay (Linky (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/200a-Alternator-96-97-98-99-Dodge-Stealth-3000GT-3-0L_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3356358224QQitemZ220 489679396QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAcces sories))
And im really needing to know which one would fit.
The 3000gt has a 3.0L 6G72 yeah? So would probably be a good fit? But the diamante 3.5L alt looks different...
The 3000gt definately looks very similar to my current stock one....
Edit: Just been compairing to my alt in my car and AFAIK the diamante one now looks like the one I need. It has the plug on top on the alt, not coming out the side..

No mate, that will not fit
You have the S4 motor, the older 6g72 are the same as the TR/S style and the dohc are also different, this I was able to confirm when I did some work on Tuffy's car recently

Thanks mal
Been talking to Tuffy over pm's and we have found one that will fit! :D
Its the 3.5L diamante one for 97-2000. Apparently the only DOHC diamante that was my shape was the 3L (3L dohc alt wont fit on mine). So the 3.5L one should fit mine as it is SOHC!

That is correct, the 3.5l Diamante is our car, most yank ones were made in Adelaide and run the SOHC 6G74 S4 engines which were also made in Adelaide

Thread jumping, yes. But I thought I'd ask here instead of starting a new thread.
I've got a 2003 Verada KL Ei and was looking to get a 200A Alt fitted. Are any of the ones from Iraggi Alternator and Electronics (http://stores.ebay.com/Iraggi-Alternator-and-Electronics__W0QQ_sidZ35089818?_nkw=mitsubishi&submit=Search) suitable for me?

That'd fit fine.
