Well I haven't actually finished the install... a few things came up over the weekend which put me waay behind :( .... but I've put some pictures up anyway.

The best feature of it all is that I still have a fair bit of room left in the boot and I still have access to the spare tire.... plus I can actually use my boot without having to throw shopping bags etc on top of amplifiers :)

as you can also see from my Avater... I've got a kick arse blue glowy ski port.

There's a few things I don't like about it so far, but I guess I'll just put that down to experience and next time I'll get it perfect.

oh yeah... and I really couldn't be bothered making the web pages look pretty... so here ya go.

Very very nice. I think a home made job is always better then a shop job.

Actually I haven't lost very much room from what I already had with the sub box sitting in there before. only about 100mm of either side of the boot and about 30mm along the face of the subs. Mind you I never really use my boot for much anyway. And besides, If ever I did want to stick something bigger in there, its a less than 5 minute job to completely remove the sub box, and a 15 minute job to remove the amps.

The total cost of materials for the installation (thats not including the stereo components) was around $150 I think :-k mostly sheets of MDF and the carpet... plus a few bits and peices like packs of screws / a few brackets etc... mind you, living with a capenter/cabinet maker for a brother kind of helps in the tools department. oh yeah... plus $50 for the cool blue neon lights that light up my ski port :)

and as for the stupid photos on my tech tip page... that is seriously the last time I decide to be a complete hack and use MS Word to generate a web page... my god... has anyone ever seen the code that thing creates.... anyway, it should work now.

One day I'll actually get around to creating a decent home page like this masterpiece you're looking at right now... I must say blake, good job on this site... from a web user point of view its actually pretty kick arse.
