I've been having a few issues with my power windows lately. Mainly the drivers side because it gets used the most. It makes scrapping noises and seems to be rubbing on something when ever I use it. A few months ago I had an auto electrician look at them and he applied some kind of lubricant to help keep them moving smoothly. It worked fantastic but now they're starting to make noises again. Just recently I had my windows tinted. The guy who did it suggested something about getting the rubber inside the doors changed since it was an old car so that the tint wouldn't get damaged. Would this solve the problem? Has anyone else done a similar thing?
