went and did an ecu reset today (disconnect battery wait few mins and reconnect) now the TR idles at 500rpm, stalls if using no accel over a certain time in D and R... wtf is wrong with me?!?

This happens you just need to drive it around for a bit and it will figure itself out.

how long? i went for 5 mins, the idle starts at 500 and winds up slowly to 900 now, still stalling when in gear....

Tried to search for threads.. can't find.. this is more common on third gens but I have read 2nd gen threads about it before.. admittedly had no such problems with mine but still.
But given it happened purely from an ECU reset makes sense..

try let it sit and idle in neutral for a while, give it a few stabs if it's going to stall.. hopefully someone who's actually experienced this can chime in :)

15 minute idle and it should be ok **works for 3rd gen, assume its the same for a 2nd gen**

10 min idle and a slow and steady drive got it, much cleaner shifts now
