Hey all,

Having an issue at the moment where whenever I attempt to use the accelerator, the car stalls out, this happens in all gears (park, neutral, reverse, drive etc).

Only happens when using the accelerator as per normal (ie not fanging), if I plant my foot tho it will end up moving but give me a check engine light.

Managed to get the diagnostics codes out of the car thanks to my haynes manual and the codes showing were 12 (air flow sensor) and 13 (intake air temperature sensor)

I have replaced the MAF 3 times now with no success, checked the engine itself, did find that the timing belt had slipped, replaced that with a new one etc but still no good.

Starting to wonder if it is the MAF's which are damaged (I am picking them all up from wreckers) or if something electrical in the car is screwing them as soon as I use them.

Any idea's, I've no idea where else to look now?

It may be worth your while to check out the throttle position sensor. If the engine is hesitating as soon as you hit the pedal then it might be that the TPS has chocked up with dirt or become faulty or got corroded contacts on the loom... anything that would stop it sending the right info to the ECU so it can adjust fuel/timing etc as necessary.

Check your loom, may have a broken wire int he loom. Best bet is to check from the plug back to the ECU
