something within my electrics is seriously stuffing up. i have an idea what it could be but i want to see what others think so here goes.

driving the other day my dash lights, parkers and tail lights all went off. Now since there all on the same circuit i thought the fuse must have simply blown. So when i got where i was going i checked and sure enough it had blown. changed it over and tried the lights. They came on and then within a second the fuse blew again. Tried again and blew another fuse. I tested the relay and its working fine, no worries. I thought a wire somewhere on the circuit might have worn away the rubber and is touching the chassis creating a short but i dunno coz the wires are run in a bundle right? So what does any electircal buff think?

The lightswitch itself is probably shorting out internally.

Yep. Exactly the same thing happened to me on a very dark freeway at midnight in my KR Verada. It's definitely a dicky switch. Just get it changed - $60 fitted.

The NRMA guy had to do some fancy wiring to get me home that night.

This is why it is a good idea to perhaps have a set of auxiliary driving lights or even foglights which can be used in such a situation... Backup lights on a separate circuit because I sure as hell wouldn't want to be stuck out in the middle of nowhere with no lights!
