G’day guys and girls,
Engine Fuse box removing, i’ve figure out a way that you can hide it and your wiring with out to much effort, it took me awhile to do it.. but it really it simple
Tools
1. Soildering iron
2. Soilder
3. Black electric tap
4. Heat shrink, 3mm to 6mm
5. Wire ties
6. Wire joiners
Okay First disconnect your battery... also if you ever wanted to install your battery into the rear of your car then now’s a awesome time to do so,
1. Remove your battery and the cold air intake out of your engine bay, including the battery holder/surround, and then the front right hand side light.. Also might be easy to take your front bumper off

2. Once the fuse box is removed.. and you’ve disconnected the positive feed to the fuse box take the bottom and top of the fuse box, now if you cant be bothered cutting and extending wires, you can just put the fuse box through the headlight mounting point. And let it hang there for now

3. You now have to remove your radiator overflow bottle... i’ve painted the cars surface with rust kill

4. bracket, the bracket itself has to stand of the body work, I’m using 1.5mm plate i little extreme bust it was some off cut i have laying around..

5. i measured the bracket up, giving it 6mm extra on both sides so when i bend it.. it will be the right shape

6. i now bend the bracket in the vice and double check it is right and drill the holes

7. i tested it out and realized it needed more support, so i’ve welded and other section on to the bracket

8. i mounted i, back into place and install the fuse box on to the frame

9. you’ll have to extend a couple of wires.. for E.G ABS and make some of the head light wires longer.. but at the end it looks good

When I read the title I was thinking "oh no, here we go again" but mate, you have done an excellent job there.

The job you have done looks awsome and really finishes off your engine bay.

One tip, if you are patient the wiring actually comes out of the fuse box easilly in groups, they are attached to plates in the bottom of the fuse box and once the various clips are released they will come away which will make guiding the wiring loom somewhat easier as well.

doesnt happen often though, ive had my car 2 and a half years and havent blown a fuse in there, just a couple on the interior box. looks awesome, and gives the turbo its own space, makes it look bigger too, and thats ALWAYS a good thing.
