Hey guys.

need some advice with an idea playing in my head.

As stated i wanna put a breather (or 2) from the outlets on the rocker cover. (Astron motor)
now my question is:

Which of the 2 outlets would be most suitable?

one runs from the gearbox side to the induction hose, and the other from the PCV valve to the break in the inlet manifold.

my thinking is to cap off the induction hose and its respectrive oulet and put a breather on a line running from the PCV valve, thus capping capping off the inlet nozzle at the inlet manifold.

This may seem insignificant or plain rice but its simply an idea playing around in my head so any help would be great!
experience, advantages/disadvantages, does/donts etc...

and yes i realise it is illegal

Thanks is advance!
Tim

No, its an air filter on the end of the breather hose.

Actually I haven't. Theres no real benefit of this which is why I didn't do it. plus I didn't need something else for the coppers to pick on.
Personally, just run an oil catch can. It's legal and filters all the air going back into your intake.

If you have that much oil and bypass coming out from your PVC then I would be more look at getting a new set of rings than putting an oil catch can on man.

True, but $40 for a oil catch preventing crap in take vs $500+ for rings or motor replacement, it's a good temporary solution. that said, we dont actually know if there is a problem in the first place.

if you have a lot of blow-by you can put a catch can in and have the bung on the bottom (usually reserved for emptiying) made into a fitting that diverts caught oil back into the sump, say via the dipstick hole. IF the car is in good shape you will/shoould only get about 50ml max every 10000k in the can. Toconnect this up unscrew your PCV bung that is in the inlet manifold and plug it with a bolt of suitable size and thread pitch. Now connect both rocker cover vents (the 1 that used to go to the pvc and the 1 that usually goes sraight to the inlet pipe) to the catch can. You may need to t-piece these together as most catch cans are 2 port only. the retrun from the catch can goes to where the original inlet pipe breather comes from, just beofre the TB.

if you arent worried about the po po then a filter can be added to the return outlet on the catch can and just remember to plug up the inlet pipe before the TB
