sometimes when im driving and my car is fully stationary holding the brake down, it will give a slight jolt a couple seconds after stopping, its quite weird, but it doesnt really bother me, i was just wondering what was causing it..any ideas?

If it's an Auto it's probably clunking on downshift.

Yeah mine clunks down into first with quite a noticable 'lump'when slowing. You almost have to feather the brake as it does it - its a bloody pain

yeah, that happens only every once in a while. another this is when u're braking the brake pedal seems to depress a little by itself

u could try slipping it to neutral a few metres before u stop if that helps...

My altera does it too but only when cold. The car surges forwards just after stationary. Scared the life out of me first time! It's the auto finally engaging in to first at stationary. The other weird sensation for my first drive was the car downshifting when slowing and when going down hill ... clever! No other auto I've driven does this ... only my manuals but only coz I tell it too!
