I have been fortunate enough to get a KJ 2 Verada blackout dash. Can anyone tell me if this will be a plug and play for my TJ 2 advance or if i will have to do some loom modification? Has anyone here done this?

well i have just purchased a kj1 blackout for my tj1 and was told it is a direct plug and play so i would only assume the same for kj2 to tj2...

Im not sure but i think the kj s2 cluster is plug and play in a tj s2

Is not a direct plug in for a TJ1 at all, you need to change the top dash harness

As for the TJII, the plugs are actually the same and all the alert etc run from the cluster.

Although I have not personally tried it myself, I know it will plug straight into a TL so I can not see why a TJII would be any different

i was reffering to a kj1 cluster in a tj1 not a kj2 into a tj1.... just incase you read incorrectly.....

if not what part of the harness needs to be changed?????????

kjs2 is plug and play in tj s2 l have done it

Ok,
I will make it a little clearer then

TJ sI and KJ SI are not direct swaps, the top harness needs to be changed

SirHRT states that the KJS2 will change with an TJS2 and this does make sense as there really is nothing different in terms of centre display

Thanks to everyone. BUT, there must be a little difference. My centre display has oil and battery light in it and so too does the blackout cluster. Does this mean they will not work in the blackout cluster??

kj s2 has a clock in the center display tj s2 has the 3 indicators im gessing it will show on both

So does that mean the ones in the blackout cluster will not operate?
