i am in the middle of replacing the starter on my TF 3.0. i have removed the bottom bolt, the heat shield & also the shield off the manifold. i can't even see the other (top) bolt.
i have Max Ellery's manual but it is useless.

any tips?

thanks in advance.........

thanks to you all i was able to solve it.............

you should be able to see it from the top, then get under your car and you should be able to stick a spanner in the gap.. i think i had to loosen from the top, then the rest from under.

Just remember to disconnect your battery as the positive to the starter is unfused :)

Hey in regards to the max ellery manual, i have it here in front of me and it clearly shows the position of both bolts, plus explains the position also.
