Hey all

my ks is flaring between gears, and overdrive is useless

just stopped to check oil and it's ok

any ideas?

that his revs are jumping up between shifts.

try checking your TCU for any problems, I'm not sure if thats the cause, I have heard it talked about before.

trans needs a flush dude, both the D do it when cold and the TR do it when cold.(when it was auto)

It was fine up until today.... Now it won't shift at all unless I jiggle the revs. I think it's an omen that I need a new car

It might be you got a faulty auto gearbox computer.

Pete I got one for sale but obviously 2nd gen parts these days are worth less then dirt so if you send me your address i'll ship one up to you tomorrow (one that works)

BTW...... stuck with 1st and 3rd.... no overdrive Had to drive 60kms out to the bush and back in a 90 zone :( bye bye fuel economy

So........ no luck changing the ECU exactly the same

Just did a flush with geniune mitsu fluid and took it for a hard drive to see if I could loosen anything up..... no luck

I've got 1st and 3rd and thats it, the other two gears just rev out to redline

:(

Ah you gotta be kidding me. Thats crap man. well, was worth a shot.
Looks like tranny may be shot afterall. Got one here but keeping that for the d.....

+1 for manual. At least you will have some fun before you get your new car.
I'd go as far as saying if you converted it to manual, you wont wanna get rid of it.
Will be one of the first KS's converted to manual for a few years

If you have all the parts, Its very possible to get done in a weekend. Hardest bit is lining up the clutch. Day job now worries.
