Also it states they are illegal to retrofit to cars which don't have them stock... can I ask why the hell not seeing as a lot of the Euro luxury cars are driving on our roads with them?

If they are a decent product and there is enough interest, I can organise a group buy.

Cheers
Pete

AFAIK the euro cars that have them actually have a factory projector lens in the headlamp assembly which therefore makes them legal.
but on another note, you still find heapzzz of cars with aftermarket HID kits.

HIDs are illegal unless the car came with them new. Ever seen the glare from a badly installed HID system at night?

They aren't legal because HID lights need projector headlights to focus the beam properly.
Reflector headlights just bounce the light out in all directions and blind everyone.

I think the cause is that the light emitting point of the HID bulb is physically in a different location to the standard bulbs. Maybe the light is also generated from a greater area as well, instead of just the heated coil in a standard bulb.

My wife's car has regular type bulbs but in projector headlights. Even though they are projectors, the light from HID bulbs still isn't controlled well enough and spills out - street signs on the left get lit up for miles. :)

Ok well forget the group buy idea... if the standard housings are going to blind everyone else then not a good idea!

Smart move, glad you are being sensible. I believe higher powered globes are available for the Magna, if you need more light. Quartz-halogen for high beam go up to 100 watts, I believe.
Don't use them around town, they are illegal too.

would they be illegal on a car that has projector headlamps fittted from factory but comes only with halogen globes????

would they then be illegal on a car that has aftermarket projector lenses?????

if so why then????? if the reflector lamp is the problem change it to a projector and then there should be no problem correct......

Sorry guys but this is an illegal product as they can not be aimed

There will be no group buy on AMC for these due to the legality

Thanks for understanding

Yeah I have some standard wattage Arctic Blue globes, which are ADR approved. They helped quite a bit.
