View Full Version : Water temperature sensor removal
I've got the dash out and I've just put the new loom into the car (installing climate-control) how to I pull the water temperature sensor out? The workshop manual doesn't show you very well and I've already broken the leads of one at the wreckers just by yanking on it. I have to head back the the wreckers this arvo to collect some parts I've forgotten and will need to grab one to get my system going. Any help would be useful before then.
Cheers

Most leads on the Mitsu have some sort of lock on them. They are all different, you really need to look closely on how to unlock and remove the cable. Look for a piece of plastic on the plug that needs to be lifted up or pushed down. No manual I have seen goes into detail on this.
It's not the lock on the plug. That's mario world1-level1 stuff. Just chasing how to remove the the sensor. I can feel it, but can't feel the clip that holds it in.

If you are talking about the temp sensor on the motor, you unplug it and unscrew it
I am not aware of any other water temp sensor, there certainly is not one in the climate system, if you are talking about the probe that goes un under the heater box, this needs to be taken our once the heater box has been removed, it pushes up from underneath and is clipped in, remove the core from the box and you will see what I mean
