Hey, i just got back from a mates place, he was installing a Aux input into his falcon. It was so easy, all he had to do was plug one cable into a plug that is near the fusebox and he was away.
So i am wondering is there anything like this for that magna's, i have a 05 TW/VRX with the 6-stacker HU? i havent seen anything in the manual but thought someone might have found something in there searching?
Back in the day, I used a CD Walkman and a tape deck adapter. The newer version of that is an FM Modulator.
Would either of those suit your needs?
I didn't see anything in my factory TJ stereo that looked like an AUX input when I pulled it out, only the CD Stacker connection.
I guess if you were keen, you could investigate that cable at an electrical level and wire an Aux input into it. It could be as simple as connecting 3 wires into the socket, or it could be impossible without an electronics degree. :)

I'm not aware of anything, but you can pick up a basic head unit from JB for about $120 with AUX in anyway?

I know the Aux In you're talking about on Falcons, but such a thing doesn't exist on Magnas. Some Magnas (my 01 TJ VR-X) had a 3.5mm aux input on the front of the CD player, but I imagine you'd lose your CD stacker if you sought one down.
You could use a FM modulator but sound quality is pretty average - then again your stock sound probably isn't that great anyway. Like Righty said, even cheap aftermarket headunits these days have aux ins.

Yes Falcons were meant to have Aux in the fuse box, hense why it was so easy for your mate to get it going!

One option is to get a HU with AUX IN and mp3 capability. Does away with the need for a cd stacker.

or go for a HU with a usb input and mp3/m4a capability. You can then keep all your music on a memory stick
On our TL Wagon, the CD player packed it in, so I went back to Mitsubishi, and they replaced it under Warranty...... with a JVC unit, with MP3, and Front AUX input.... Cheering!!! :D
