Hey guys

My rear brakes are making a squeaking/grinding noise. It gets worse the harder you press down on the pedal, and it'll do it even when stationary, so it doesn't seem your usual squeak. Any ideas on what might be causing it?

Rotors were machined 1 year/15,000km ago, and the pads were replaced with Bendix GCTs at the same time.

Caliper slide pins weren't greased correctly/at all so the pads don't get pulled back all the way when you release the pedal.

Could also be vibration of the pad against the caliper bracket in which case some antisqueal paste would do the trick. Would still be worth inspecting the pads anyway.
