So, got myself some fog lights from Ego. But now i need to figure out how to install them
Looking at the digital workshop manual, i cant seem to find the actual wiring diagram for it. Im sure its pretty simple to install, but i wanted to do it correctly by going through the fuse box and all.
It shows me in the foglight install in the manual what fuse to use, but how would i go about wiring it to the battery? What size cable should i use? Should i use one size fits all, or get a larger cable and split it too two smaller gauge cables?
Cheers,

If you have a search, there was a write up done by WestsideTSD a while back and I think he also did some diagrams as well

Thanks Nick. My only problem now with wiring this all up is actually trying to get the bottom of the fusebox. I have been able to get it all undone, but i cant figure out/have the guts to start pulling stuff apart from the box itself as to damage anything.
So my question is, how do i pull the fuse box out enough to wire into the bottom of it without damaging anything? Ive done a search, but cant find anything. I think we need a wizard on how to use the search function

You cant really get to the actual fuse.
Have you gotten to the point where you can see the wiring underneath?

Not really. Ive pulled it out enough to get the bottom plate off, but i have only moved the whole box about an inch up

So ive done a bit more in researching the fogight install. The part ive come up to know is knowing wether or not i have the internal wiring. The plug that has been mentioned in a previous thread that if it has the 5 wires, is supposed to mean it has the internal wiring yes? But when i look under my fusebox, there is no wiring going to the relay or fuse? Is that meant to be like that if i have the stock wiring?
Im only asking as i dont want to go and wire this thing incorrectly!

You have a poor man spec magna. You won't have the wires for it. Buy an after market relay set like what Kieran has for sale in the sale thread and use that to wire it in. I could even do something up in paint to show you.

I have graphically shown you how I would wire in the fog lights if I had a pov spec (I have base AWD model so I might have to do it this way any how :)). I have even put colours in to demonstrate how this circuit works.
The blue arrows shows you the initial current flow when you twist the switch on, the current flows through the coil in the relay, through the switch and then back to the battery via the car chassis aka yellow arrows.
The green arrows will flow once the little switch is pulled in by the coil in the relay, the current flows through the switch (found inside the relay), then through the fog lights that are in parallel then back to the battery via the car chassis aka yellow arrows.
Yes.. It's Saturday night and I'm bored.

I thought magna was negative swicth but both ways is good enought. With find how to wire the swicth would be look up the wiring diagram for your car, it will list what colour each wire is :)

Now that I'm sober you should probably run the switching wire from the accessories or the ignition so you don't leave them on accidentally and kill the planet.
