The other half Just come home and told me she has just lost steering (luckily in the driveway)
Went out to find a trail of oil from the car up the driveway

Popped the bonnet to find oil everywhere
Started the engine and turned the steering to get sprayed with oil coming from down near the timing chain
It was getting on the dark side so ill look closer tomorrow
Asuming it a hose
Wondering if its an easy fix

yeah mate hoses are an easy fix, just find another one at the wreckers.

What about bleeding the system

Leave the cap off, turn the wheels left to right full lock to full lock a few times and it should be bled.

Does the complete hose come out in one go
Seems a task to get it out

Sorry mate, the hoses on a V6 are actually 2 hoses. I know there is a hardline from the rack to just behind the engine where it turns into a rubber hose which can detach from there. Normal spanners to do the job, some of the smaller ones on the hardpipe you should probably use a pipe spanner.

Not much more I can say mate but they should split in a few pieces.
