So far each time I go to Repco or something like that for brake pads, I tell them the year, make, model, that I've got ABS, and I end up with the wrong bloody brake pads? 3 times it's happened to me. But each time I've forgotten what the originals looked like for comparison (I should take a photo).

Any ideas?

Redbook link for anyone who can help here (http://www.redbook.com.au/used-cars/details.aspx?R=89196&__Qpb=true&Cr=5&__Ns=p_Make_String|0||p_ClassificationType_String| 0||p_Family_String|0||p_Year_String|1||p_SequenceN um_Int32|0&__N=2994%204294949495%204294843003%204294965327&silo=1300&seot=1&__Nne=15&trecs=24&__sid=127AFACD23FB).

Only thing I can think of is maybe because the cars from Japan?

Says 64 litre tank. I've never fit more than 45 in it too :-/

Search on the manufacturers website.. I recommend that you get Bendix General CT personally they work great for me.. and yeah take an original I guess.

This info might help.

DB1223 Front/DB1239 Rear (Front Calipers Akebono Rear Calipers Sumitomo) DB1223 Front/DB1238 Rear (Front and rear calipers Akibono) All ABS fitted TR/KR & TS/KS had twin piston calipers on the front as far as I know. PBR Calipers are DB 1203 Front and DB1204 Rear.

Cheers

Hard to take an original when I need them to stop unfortunately, no second car to get there.

I dont know what any of that means, I'm a bit car illiterate, but I'll write it down when I go into Repco :)

Take one out, trace its outline onto a piece of paper. Match it with a new pad at the shop. Worked for me. I know the rears on the TS with ABS is different for the sedan and wagon. Should have a number written on the back of the pad too.

Single piston fronts are 1203's and twin's are 1223.
what madmax says though will gaurantee you get the right pad.

Brilliant idea :)

I've tried both Supercheap Auto and Repco and they've both done it to me.
