I've spent a good part of the day searching these forums but couldn't find what I am looking for. I am installing a device (re: sprintex charger that I am yet to recieve) to my car that requires an oil feed line and a return line and just want to double check that what I have in mind will work.

For the return line I'll be removing the lower oil pan (after drained of course) and drilling a hole and wielding in a threaded bung to which I'll attach a braided stainless steel hose. As I don't have the device yet, I'm unsure of the size of the thread for the return line that's located on the unit.

For the oil feed line I intend on teeing off the oil pressure switch. Again I don't know the size of the thread for the feed line in for the device.

Now the questions.
I'm guessing the lower oil pan is made of a sturdy metal that can easily be wielded?
If anyone with the info on hand could supply the thread size of the oil feed and oil return lines on the sprintex blower that would just blow my skirt up.

Cheers
-Alan.

Hi mate, you should consider something like this;
off a 3000GT which uses this adaptor for the oil pressure sender and the rear oil feed line
http://www.3sx.com/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=24831
I got one on ebay for $10US, 3SX wants about $70 for postage!

I'm not spending $70 on postage, but that's what I'm looking for.
Starting to lean to this sandwich plate (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SANDWICH-PLATE-ADAPTOR-OIL-PRESSURE-SENDER-SENSOR-B_W0QQitemZ120520523161QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_P arts_Accessories?hash=item1c0f953d99) from eBay.

when you run the oil return line back to the sump
the line has to be above the oil level in the sump
