I have a weird noise coming from my engine bay. It's a tapping sort of sound, almost like crickets. I'm pretty sure it's not the tappets. It doesn't occur on startup, only after I have been driving for a while. When I stick my head in the engine bay to try and locate to sound, it appears to be coming from the area near the distributor.

Is it possible for bad dizzy's to make noise? If it indeed is bad, are they a big job to replace and do they cost much?

Might be the fuel injectors as well dude.

Possibly. The sound is random/inconsistent. I'm thinking it could also be the radiator fan. I'll probably leave this one to a mechanic.
