Seems I had a ute with a tow bar reverse int the front of my bonnet
Damage is about the size of a pea through to bare metal.
Might try a mobile touch up business.
Anyone used them and whats the end result?

theres guys around nsw (i know, nowhere near you) that do this kind of stuff. they actually did a really good job with a mates car when a similar thing happened to hers. but it was a dog, not a towbar

Maybe the meet could rotate with a north and south venue.
I dont finish work till gone 6
I suppose I could post a pic of the damage to save a trip and get a 'rough' quote on line

.....and then when we make it north (not that we ever will),its too far north, and when its south its too far south....

its hard enough trying to get newbies to come along where it is ,let alone changing the location every other month

thats why its where it is...central enough for every one...well those that can be bothered,

and we are there most meet nights till 9.30-10.00

if it's through to bare metal, it's going to need colour.
i have a good friend of mine that can sort that out for you , he lives out your way too...

i'll PM you the details and he'll sort it out for you straight away..

Thanks. Please PM me
Yes its through the primer and into bare metal so I guess the paintless system is no good in this case?

Seems like the damage is right on the front lip of the bonnet where the front seam weld is and cant be drawn. I've had a couple of opinions on this (thanks )
Apart from a full bonnet respray ($600 ish!) I dont suppose theres a chance of finding/fitting a chrome moulding like the VE calais to hide the dent. A long shot I know. Any ideas?

Chris,

You could try a bonnet protector. Perspex (see through) so it may or may not hide the ding. If it doesn't hide the ding may be possible to paint it (the protector). Standard accessory available from Mitsu dealers, shouldn't cost all that many $. See the second to last page of the 380 Series 3 brochure (item #10).

Well after no success trying to do a minor repair I have a quote to repair and do a full respray on the bonnet.
$380 (cash)'nudge nudge wink wink say no more'
I have the usual small stone chips so I guess it will look as new when done
