ok so the fan in my advance isnt working but only on the 1st speed. is there a way i can check a connection somewhere along the wires or would it be an issue with the selector itself? it doesnt bother me that much but i do like to have everything working

check your fan speed resistor for breaks... coils can be twisted together and soldered in most cases

behind the glove box attached to the evaporator box, looks like a black plastic panel with 2 screws in it and a 4 pin connector

The coils are enclosed on these cars, you can not dismantle them. You are best going to a wrecker and get a new resistor unit, it is located in the fan box, held in with 2 screws and has a 4 pin connector into it

Only problem with going to wrecker is you dont know how long it will last.
I picked up a new one for around 50 I think.
dude, i've got my brothers old fan regulator thingy if you wanted to use it (to see if yours is the culprit). i'll ask him if you could have it and drop it by the next time i see you. doubt he needs it anyways
