After a bit of advice here guys i'm half way through putting my stereo in mu TJ and i need help making a decision.

I have a JVC head unit with JVC 6x9's in the rear, i have alpine s series two ways in the front doors, i have a alpine 4 channel amp and a alpine 12in sub.

My question.

Should i run the four speakers of my amp and buy a second amp to run my sub?

or

Should i run my fronts and sub of the amps and just run my rear speakers of the head unit.

I'm after nice sound quality and a little bit of volume but not over the top bull**** loud.
Any advice would be cool coz i have no idea

i would definately buy another amp, seeing u have lotsa JVC stuff, one of they're 4ch amps would do fine and i think they're about the $300-500 mark? you'll love the extra control and clarity. does your head unit have sub-out?

or, even buy a small alpine single channel amp (im sure i've seen these around somewhere), and use the current alpine 4 ch to run speakers.

i not sure if it has a sub out it's on order i'm getting the headunit and 6x9's for about $360.
Do i have to run two power leads all the way from the battery if i have 2 amps???

no, 1 power lead will b fine, but a distribution block will make wiring much easier.

i'd say it's prolly one of these

i think this actually only has 1 pre-out, so u'll have to link amps (not hard to do) just gives u less control from the head unit, but if u want a system that goes much better than stock it should b ok.

Front/sub off the amp, rears off head unit. How much power does the amp put out when bridged? If you have a TypeR sub and the bridged channel puts out less than 200WRMS, then forget it get a bigger amp. If it's a TypeS anything from 120-200WRMS should be OK.
