I have a 2002 Diamante and I've been searching for springs for a long time and can only seem to find springs that are labeled under "1997-2001". Is there a difference between that 4 year period and a 2002 that I would not be able to fit those on mine?

you should be ok with with any springs from 1997 through to 2004.

they didn't make any suspension changes in that time.

cheers,

To back up Wook's comment.
Look under mitsubishi Magna TE (1996) - TW (2005) Here (http://www.kingsprings.com/catalogue/Kings%20Superlow%20Caralogue%20040203.pdf)in the Kings Springs Catalogue.

Thanks guys I thought so. I will take my chances and buy it. Only thing is it's only a 1.3" drop because there's nothing available for Diamantes in the damn U.S.

Do you have a McPherson strut or multilink rear end?

If you have multilink then I don't think the King springs will fit.

No 3rd gen (or any Magna) ever had a Mc Pherson strut rear end. They all have the multilink suspension bar the wagon.

I got that mixed up with the 2nd gen Diamantes then, my apologies.

*rips out JDM Diamante brochures only to correct you*
1st Gen diamantes (Our TR) Either had
Multi-Link Rear suspension or;
Double Wishbone Rear suspension (4WD)

Didn't some of the Diamante have a multi-link front suspension as well? That's how the wikipedia page reads.

There was a member that joined just recently with a dimante. He was from new york from memory and I think I recall him using height adjustable aftermarket EVO suspension. I'll try to find the thread.

EDIT: found ---> http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77142&highlight=york

Actually uses Galant suspension.
