Wondering what part this plays in the handling of the car?

I removed mine to fit the JVM Bar and my car now feels a tad Swishy wishy on the road. Took up the eastcoast and even i felt car sick. Front shock have never been replaced in its life 182000 but it seems to have got worse with the reo bar off. Is my car twisting or will i need to go back to the ralliart bar and sell the JVM bar as the JVM bar wont fit with the reo on.

Any help would be great

reo bar as in the reinforced beam that runs horizontal across the front of the car?

I cant see how this would effect the handling. However, removal of this reo bar is likely to be highly illegal as it is part of the safety operation of the vehicle during collisions

Good lord man!

Cybermonkey is right, HIGHLY illegal to drive without one, it plays a part in keeping your car in one piece when hit, also the airbag system relies on it.

Put it back on.

Before an accident 89% of people yell "HOLY SHIT!". The other 11% are from Australia, and yell "Hold my beer, and watch this shit!"Heh, this ironing is delicious

The Reo will play a HUGE part in the handling of the car as it adds structural integrity to the front of the car. Without it, the chassis flexes and creates the handling sensation you're experiencing.

The JVM WILL fit with the Reo on, and yes... it will play a big part. Atm there is nothing between the chassis rails in the front, so chassis flex is your answer! Put the bloody reo back on, everybody else with a JVM has theirs on!

I thought it would have, ive spoken to a few suspension places and they wernt sure as most new cars have 6 12mm bolts that hold them on not that type of slide in reo bar. Im making contact with sinex about my bar even though its been 2 months since ive had the bar for the amount i paid i should be entitled to have a bar that fits.

OMG there are sum tools on here why do u all carry on like nuggets in a box. I was asking if it played around with the handling, it does thanks for the answer. I know what it does in a crash and NO my jvm bar doesnt fit with it on.

Reo plays SFA difference guys, the Magna has a little bit if tin as a "reo" bar and is that soft it will flex

As for nothing tying the 2 rails, what is that big thick tie bar that Mits welded inbetween the rails for, weight balance????

The reo bar is there for extra crash protection, it will absorb some impact, the Verada had a large alloy set up that will not fit a magna bar but even then if it gets a knock is designed to sheer off the mounting brackets anyway.

So to answer the question, there will be next to no difference in the front end as the tie bar that is welded does all of the structual work in the front end, the reo is there to hold the bumper on and some crash absorbsion
