Hey guys i am seeking to get the attention of anyone who has a 3rd Gen with the Sail Pods that can house stock tweeters. I have recently done and install on mine, placing my Focal Tweeters in that pod and it does sound pretty good.
I was just wondering how everyone that used this spot mounted theirs? Because mine is being held on by tape (extremely good stuff, so no dodgey install) but didnt anyone use anything other than tape?
Pictures would be great !
Thanks !

Silicon, hotglue or even bluetac are also good options.

I used bluetac. It sounds ghetto but it works a treat - I didn't want something difficult to remove like hot glue. I've wedged the tweeter in so it won't move around. I've done this for years and my tweeters have never moved around or fallen out of the mount.

hot glue works a treat and not that difficult to get off either

Knowing my luck I'd melt the glue into the actual tweeter lol

There is a shot of mine if it is any help.. All I did was Drill a hole in the normal sail planes and mounted the Clarion tweeter there.
I couldnt afford to get the tweeter type ones and besides.. the tweeter I have probably wouldnt fit.

Red Valdez yes that is the same reason i dont want to use glue, id hate to ruin my Focal Tweeters.
magnat mine are pretty big and although my Tweeters dont sit the same way as the stock ones, the fit just back abit and dont sounds too bad.

I used some 3M double sided tape to mount my tweeters...
