I have to go to Loxton on Saturday. Am a bit concerned over the locust swarms in the Riverland. I have cut my front seal for better air flow and wonder if locusts getting sucked into the air intake could be a problem.

thats what air filters are for.... pull up at the next break, give the filter a clean and pop it back...

Maybe add a piece of Mesh across the front of the inlet?

Go to your hardware store and by some shade cloth
attach it to the front of you car and cover all the grilles with on piece otherwise you rad will be full of bugs too

Good advice from Mecha. Bugs in your air-con and radiator are the worst problem - can drastically reduce airflow thru the cores. Shadecloth seems to do a good job, and I haven't noticed it affecting paint too badly (mind you, I was in TP the last time we had locusts).
