They all do the same thing but it depends how good your tuner is.
I have a Unichip Q, there are some Chiptorque Exede's floating around & I think someone may have user a Halteck but can't be sure on that one.

put aside the fact that your is super charged. after you got the chip did you get significant gains?

I had the chip on before it was supercharged. I think the net gain was about 7kw but the part throttle & everywhere else was a lot smoother. Knotched put the Exede on roughly the same time & I think he achieved about the same power increase. It is not as good as bang for the buck as the Galant intake or extractors but worth it for better driveability, fuel econonmy & if you just want to get the most out of the car you can.
Edit - WA Dist for Unichip - West Racing Motor Development, Tim Slako, 5/6 O'Malley Street Osborne Park (08) 9446 1913.

White tried a Haltech on his but even Steven Knight couldn't get it to work. Apparently it doesn't have the right crank angle sensor.
Agree with Fooz, the only real options seem to be Unichip Q or ChipTorque Exede. Maybe a Moristech ProSequential, but I haven't heard of anyone fitting one of these to a 380 (at least not a NA one), and I believe they are a bit expensive.
I have an Exede but it hasn't been fitted yet, still trying to tee up with Steve Knight to have him fit & tune it. I'm expecting that Steve can tweak it 'just nice' by leaning out the AFRs and advancing the timing a bit, to get the best balance of torque and power and fuel economy across the rev range, but still be a 'safe' tune.
As with Fooz & Knotched, I don't expect a big increase in max power, 10kw at most, but that's not the point. The main thing is improved torque and responsiveness, especially in the mid range, and much improved fuel economy. The stock 380 tune is very rich, so there is plenty of room to lean out the AFRs to increase both torque and fuel economy, but still be rich enough to be safe.

That pretty well sums it up KJ, any chip will work it just needs the distributor to take the time & have the inclination to map the 380 crank sensor & incorporate it in the default programs.

My old man had a Unichip fitted to his TF by Tim Slako - and was quite happy with it and didn't have problems with a bad tune etc and it was running for at least a couple years I think more.

Yeah, I fitted a Unichip to my old TE about eight years ago, and never had a problem with it.
But the thing is an 'ordinary' Unichip won't work on a 380, you need a Unichip Q. Quite a few more $ than the ordinary Unichip. Maybe that's why they called it a Q!

As Fooz said, the answer is Unichip Q or Chip Torque Exede. There is no point reinventing the wheel by going with another type and having to research the crank angle sensor and correct connections (I already had a glitch there when it was fitted).

Actually mine was first, bud. ;)

Surely there doesn't need to be "research" done on it. What type of sensor is it? Surely with this car being 4 years old now (?) and this motor being everywhere OS, There must be the settings of this sensor published somewhere? possibly even co-ordinates to relate it to the cam angle sensor?

i had a haltek originally. every preloaded cas wouldnt work. so we sent it to haltek for them to check it out and there replie was
"we do not support this type of mitsubishi cas. we are not interested in doing them either"

LOL What assholes! I'd start an AMC///boycott Haltech division for that, that's just a terrible way to treat a customer.
Since you would know white, The 72/74 use a hall effects cam/crank sensor with 3 tooth crank and on the DOHC motors a 4 tooth cam sensor, what is the crank sensor on a 75? and can you use a 74 crank angle setup?
Surely someone on here has a 75 engine on a stand or something, gotta be a way around this.

you can fit a 3rd gen distributor on a 6G75.......seen it in the US eclipse forums....

Has been done here too, all I know about that is that the camshafts still have the provision to spin the dizzy. pretty sure anyway.
