Hey guys.

Random question, funniest thing happened last night.
Pulled up at the Glen, and my girlfriend goes to open the door (front passenger seat), and the handle (the big, chunky metal bit) breaks clean off! She's quite possibly the last person I'd ever expect to be able to do it aside from my 3 year old cousin, so I'm assuming it was on it's way out. :P

I was planning to look at a few parts from a wreckers sometime soon, I just have a bit more of a reason to now!
Anyone have any idea what will be involved in putting a new one there?

I did a search, couldn't come up with anything aside from this (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57272&highlight=door+handle), which seems to be a good place to start, but I'd love it if someone may be able to spare some time to come grab one with me (don't even know how much it'd cost from a wreckers), and help me throw it in. I'll throw in some sort of compensation ...
Although I'm going to start searching the forum for wreckers now. ;)

Don't really think it'll make a difference, but it's a 1990 TP EFI Wagon Exec, so at least no power windows (yet :P).

Thanks in advance for any help.

there are two screws behind the plastic plugs in the door card

you undo the small screw below the door lifter.. below the plastic cover
you undo the clip of the window winder

the card has plastic pull out parts all around the door card

then you lift the door card away and up from the door

the screws are philips head

after the door card is removed there are a few bolts to undo
and the activation lever to release

to put the two larger screws back in at the arm rest

use a magnatised screwdriver
or a large phillips with a dab of vasaline or grease
to hold the screw onto the end of the philips
