I am new on here and was after some advice.

We have had a TF magna on gas for nearly 12 months which has only just played up.

I have a TE now as well to use for work.

Now the question i have is how many models are parts compatable for???

also with TE's is the wiring there for the speed alert but just need to change the parts over for it to work???

Any help will be greatfuly received.

95% of the parts are compatable, there are differences not so much from model to model but more options will have different parts and looms such as abs have different hubs, brake lines etc, cruise have different wiring etc etc

The TE engine loom is totally different for example so if you were to put in cruise you would be best off getting a wrecked TF for the change over

Parts wise, TE-J are pretty much the same, just cosmetic, mechanical SFA difference

Speed alert is a completely different harness and to be honest is not really worth it unless you are going to completely spec the car up with later model wiring harness and if you are going to do that yo may as well do what i did with my TE and go full KJ set up then you get trip computer, clock, climate, elec windows etc etc. You may be able to pick up a banged up TJ from auctions for next to nothing
