My CD player was stolen and they ripped out the entire unit. I want to get another one put in but I've been told that I will need to go to the wreckers and get a new bracket for the CD player so they can put anohter one in. Where would be the place to go in Melbourne metro to get one for a 1993 TR? Do they fit it for you as well? I'd expect this has happened to plenty of people before?

There are a couple of parts you may need to have to install a new head unit. One is the fascia whic on a second gen is the outer plastic surround that also houses your cigarette lighter and power mirror switch. Executives have a pocket moulded into them below the opening for the head unit whilst Veradas dont always as some had a cd player fitted under the original cassette/radio. The other things are in some ways more important from a fitting point of view. There are two brackets that attach to the head unit one on either side that screw into the inner shell of the console and hold the head unit firmly in place. You will need these or need to be able to make something similar. Wont matter whether they come out of a magna or verada or elite as long as they are from a second gen they will fit.
