Seems suspect

I hope people would do a full history check on this car before purchase via the right government agency

I agree Rich, something doesn't seem right!! He doesnt mention it being '1 owner' so presumably 2 people have already owned a 3 year old car with only 3500kms?

Very SUSS.
Villawood, close to the Sydney centre for "midnight spares"

Do a REVS check to see whether it is an insurance write off, encumbered etc.

If you do want to buy it get someone who knows how to look for crash repair work to look it over carefully,
Drive it, get someone to look how straight it steers, I followed an Avalon up Silverwater road this morning that was crabbing by 150mm +.
Some unsuspecting Indians in it!1

Correct. I believe there is a section of NSW Police who target re-birthing and they get a lot of business around that area of Sydney.

I paid $22k for a GTL with 80 k's on the clock the day they announced the closure of the factory. (an hour previously it was $44k on the road)

It was officially a used fleet car after I drove it home.

My brother worked at Tonsley and got us as many as he could in the last few days.

Absolute bargains.

yeah my dad work there aswell. he finished in november 2008. so the prices dropped after most people had left. i cried when i had a look at the cars coz they were throwing so much stuff in the tipps. bumpers headlights rims all scraped.

nah...I spoke to them, that's when it had its last service.

its 35000 k's, and they pretend to not speak english very well....wont give you their number, insist on calling you back etc etc.

It's the third owner....I know that bit, and no warranty at all.

No sunroof so I refused to even look at it...:)

I am in sydney for the week and got bored this afternoon and went and test drove the car that has 3500k's on it.

I think we were all a bit over suspiscous with this car.

Gentlemen.......it's the real deal, it's a brand new series 3 VRX.

I drove it, it's perfect.

Made an offer close to what he is asking.....will ring me tomorrow if they will accept.

only the first owner gets warranty is my understanding.

Oh yeah, that's to be expected, I thought there some something amiss with it so there was no warranty at all. You still get the remaining factory warranty give out to subsequent purchasers.

The 5 year warranty is transferrable, the 10 year however, is only for the first owner :)

if mits says no warranty at all, thats means its a write off, thats what they told me when i quoted them a VIN when buying my car (didn't buy it of course :)

You can all forget about this car.

I met them today, we agreed to go and get the paperworkf from the RTA at Paramatta.

Unfortunately while we were turning into a petrol station a truck cleaned the VRX up on the drivers' side rear quarter.

The car is rooted and he has no insurance, lucky I wasn't driving...

Made a bloody big noise in the cabin when the truck hit.

I am pissed cause we agreed on 18k as well.
