hi all , quick question. i stuck my head under my neighbour's TE 1997 3.0 and saw that the front rocker cover is silver and the rear one is black. is it only cosmetic or are there other differences to my 2000TH?

I have a TE engine in my TF. My original engine had black rocker covers but the TE has a silver front one. Therefore, I'd say its feasible that they were crated over from Japan or elsewhere because why would they bother to change the colour? The silver rocker cover is pretty much just a basic TE difference over other models.

Just to clarify, the TE and KE both had silver front covers, why? we can speculate about imported engines etc etc but I guess we will never know.

In short, there is no difference in the 3.0 used from the TE-early Tj, are the same engine.

I guess that covers it then......+ sick of removing spam etc. lol
