My brother has a ks V3000 (Verada) and was told it was not standard due to having twin pot front brakes. So i was wondering if one of you can tell me if they were standard on the KS.

Yep..... sure were.
Pretty sure all 2nd gen models that got ABS had the twin pots.
Definitely all KS's

sweet cheers mate, his auto is stuffed and he was gonna sell as is cheap then he got all excited as some UK guy told him that they were rare and to hang on to it. anyway, he is getting the box reconned, gonna cost $600 with us removing and installing. we have replaced one stuffed box then the second hand one we got has reverse but drive is stuffed. on the positive it has an lsd fitted and im pretty dure no 2nd gens came stock with an lsd, so it must be aftermarket.

Lsd???
the second hand auto we bought (F4A33AVS) has a limited slip differential ie with both wheels raised and turning one, opposite wheel turns the same way, instead of reverse. the box was out of another V3000 but we are not sure if it was the origional box for that car, ive heard some of the jap spec F4A33 mated to the 6G75 (2.5l V6) came with the LSD.

ABS on the TS means twin pot front calipers. Other than that my wagon V6 is stock exec. No clock or power windows in sight. ABS must have been a "tick the box" option across the range at the time for any V6 TS. Probably standard on the KS though. Probably combined with a 15" alloy wheel option, as a package on lesser models V6. Just guessing really, except for the first sentence. lol
later TS models like the Advance in 1995 got ABS as standard - and the nice twinpots

Interesting, Cheaper for me to get on a plane, remove GB, remove diff, Send diff back home, and fly back home instead of just buying an aftermarket LSD.
So who know's if Auto LSD's fit manuals? :D

TUFFY i know the autos that came with the DOHCs have smaller output shafts for the CV's, much smaller actually

Really? Wow... That's not good news at all. was hoping to use the KS transmission when in need. Guess I'll just have to use magna D/S's too.
Interesting.

Ill check next time im at pickapart whether its just the output shaft body diameter thats smaller or the spline end of it as well.

well my 4speed KR auto and my 4sp Diamante auto with 4ws are different in the range of 6mm diameter on the shaft and the splined section of the KR auto at its smallest is still bigger then the diamante 4ws auto.
