I have the KE with the spin on filter on the trans. I was wondering, since super cheap want $30 for the part whether a normal oil filter, say a Fram extraguard like i use for the engine, could be used if it matched the original in thread and seal diameter? anyone tried this? Would the drain back valve create anyprobs? the filter looks to be a standard oil filter to me......and seen as they are less than half the price as the listed part.....

yeah, whats in that kit? just the spin on filter? it looks identical to an engine oil filter to me. I was hoping to get a fram oil filter of the same thread pitch and seal diameter, as the one you showed is about $25 for me. compared with $10 for the fram. i know the internal will be the same just wondering about the drainback valve, and will it cause any issues, i cant think of any probs.

maybe you can order from Supercheap over here?

I don't think it is a good idea to use an engine oil filter

these guys are quite good and cheap - maybe they will ship to NZ.
