I was thinking about getting a Ralliart front bar with the rest being VRX.
Even if it did work, I reckon it'd be ever so slightly wanky.
Putting a VRX kit on a Solara isn't a huge jump seeing as they're basically the same car.
However, putting a Ralliart kit on is like rebadging a base model Lancer with an Evo badge lol.
Anyways to answer your question, the VRX and GE kit is literally screwed onto your existing bars.

Ive smashed the whole kit in a smash a week ago and can only find VRX kits from carmate.com and the Sinex front bar. The Kits are getting harder and harder to come across as Mitsubishi dont have any VRX kits left apart for the rear cover that its. Ralliart kits can be ordered in via Mitsubishi but they will only get it if u have a ralliart vin number.

i emailed mitsubishi about ordering a kit for my TW and they told me to order kits (VRX body parts) via your mitsubishi dealership. i do particularly like the JIN style kits from carmate and for $2000 can get a killer looking front, rear & skirts kit fitted and painted but some people here who have ventured down that track have had troubles with carmate!

Madmagna is selling a VRX kit in his sponsor section atm, might be worth a look if your interested in upgrading.

There's a difference between a manual 5 speed VRX and a 4 speed auto Solara, but what else?
13kW, some bits and pieces you can get cheap second hand, TCL (of two minds about this, a lot of people say it's useless), better suspension, Climate Control (which I personally never use), paras and a kit.
Nothing a little bit of aftermarkets can't do a lot better in a Solara or Executive (minus trip computer, airbags etc) and still be cheaper than the VRX (including kit).
The stock VRX is good if you don't want to trouble yourself with modifying though, have the whole (kinda) package from the beginning.

By the way, there's a VRX kit for sale on eBay.

plus theres little things like the vr-x has the black/dark grey interior which is soooo much nicer than the dark grey/light grey in the solara, the vr-x dials, seats and trims etc, black carpets and parcel shelf, leather steering wheel better sound system
yes you can add all these things to a solara or base model but by the time you do that you'd be better off selling the car and getting a vr-x instead, plus there's nothing like a factory finish with all these items, you risk getting things like rattles in the dash and interior when you're replacing so many parts

Too true, I've got the biege interior.
Thinking about getting biege Verada leather seats in though.
The only thing I want out of the VR-X is the cluster. As for the steering wheel, I need a leather one outt've a Verada.
