Can you get the rotors machined or are they stuffed ?

Rotors 4 X $70 = $280
Pads 2 sets $70 = $140
Total = $420
Does not compute . . . .

rotors are no good, measured properly and they are below minimum requirements,
I'd ask dad to help pay so I could probably go as high as $500

1) Do not bother with slotted's. tell you right now, Not worth the extra money you fork out. Buy standard DBA's and some Ferodo pads. This is what I have done on the Diamante and it stops VERY good.
Granted it has the twin pistons but it pulls up hard.
Agreed with forgetting about the slotteds, unless its atrack car. and I always use Bendix Pads. Ultimates if you can offord them.

Ultimates are great pads but HORRIFIC if you love keeping your wheels clean.
Personally I wash the wheels more then the car so I like as little effort as possible, Ultimates really will cake the rims up quickly with dust, Personal hate of mine, I just like keeping the car clean.

slotted wasn't on my mind, like was said, no need, and the astron sure as hell isn't going to make a track car haha.
The thing that got me into action about new brakes all round was because on the AMC cruise on sunday I got ultimate bad brake fade, probably didn't help i'm running Calibre pads haha

If you want to keep costs down just do the front, they do all the work anyway. Just paid $170 for new RDA 421 rotors and pads. Don't know about the pads, RDA brand - may turn out to be crap.

Ive got RDA pads on mine, all 4 corners. Dustier than they told me they would be, no real noise, $95 the 4

$30 for the front pads, included with the rotors at $70 each. I'm not expecting much. Once bedded in I shall do some energetic braking from 110 KPH. Do that 3 times in a row, and standard pads are smoking and not working too well. lol RDA pads would be the same I suspect, soft material for cold performance. lol Should be kinder to the rotors anyway. I'm not worried about dust, standard steel rims and hubcaps keep the mess well hidden lol
