I have the slimline weather shields fitted to both front windows, which I didn't think would be a problem removing as I thought they were just held on with the small mounting screws and brackets.
As it turns out, not only do they have these, but it's actually stuck down with some form of double sided tape of sorts.
Looks like a total PITA to remove.
Has anyone been in the same situation, or know of any easy way to remove these?

It would be just like any other badge or sticker these days, just a bit of heat and it should be able to be removed.
I put the slimline shields on my car after I bought it and only used the tape to hold them on. I wasn't expecting the old-school screws and brackets as my Falcon has slimline shields too and they are only held on by the same tape.

If remaining glue is left on, Bug and tar remover will soften it and make removal nice and easy.

If they come off in one piece I'd love to take these off your hands :) Will pick up :)

I've found that eucalyptus or tea tree oil is good for removing glue residue from just about anything, including paintwork. Just rub it on, allow it to work for a while, then wipe it off. Keep repeating until all the glue is gone.
