Hi,

Just bought a 1999 TH Magna Solara Auto to go with my 1989 TN Wagon for $2400 - it has done 237,000klm but is in overall good nick - one owner and he had every invoice of what he has had done to it since new, I couldn't believe it.

Anyway the alternator light came on this morning so got an Auto Elect to look at it he said she stuffed so the auto elect said around $200 for a reco one - checked out a few wreckers $80 - to $100 seems to be the go.

Which way would you go ??

Get a re-co one. they are a wear and tear item, why would you spend $100 on another one which could be faulty? Do it once, Do it right.

:stoopid:

had that happen to me just before christmas, I'd say get it reco, at least it would near practically brand new and would last the distance again

Only if it's for a 3rd gen, 2nd gen one is totally different.
